An earthquake hit the soutwest part of Iceland today.
It was about 6.1 on the Richter scale.
All the rescue teams in Iceland are now in action. No fatalities ,but lots of minor injuries.Houses here are built to withstand earthquakes, but indoor ,lots of material damage. Some roads are closed ,and people in the area are asked to stay outdoors, becuase of aftershoks.Weather is great,so it is not a problem. Many are putting up tents ,and are going sleep in them tonight,if they can.
On an internet tv station, the newscaster mr. Ingvi Hrafn Jonsson ,felt the earthquake live on tv.
The station is located in Reykjavik,55 kilometers from the center of the earthquake.
