Yesterday many sailboats where saving gas - and sailing at Reykjavik.
And as you can see on the video - Mt. Esja has a bit of snow on top.
Wich means that summer has definatly gone - and fall and soon winter has arrived.
The icelandic economy is hitting a bad day.
Inflation is high ( 14 percent ) and people are feeling it in their pockets.

Scotland in Iceland
Tonight there was a footbal match between Scotland and Iceland.
And Scotland managed to win Iceland - 1-2.
But the Scottish fans are great guests to have in Iceland.
Very polite and know how to have a good time.

Off road racing in Iceland
Today was the last off road racing in Iceland.
It was held near Reykjavik.
It is mostly converted jeeps or expeccially built trucks with big engines .
And whne they need more power - they add nitro to the engine and then they can go over everything.
But they are not perfect as you can see on the video - but nobody got injured.

Low flying B - 757 in Reykjavik - Iceland
Yesterday the Icelandic National Handball team back from the Olympics in Bejing.
And with the silver medal .
They landed in Reykjavik ,and two coast guard helicopters and a DC -3 - flew with the Boeing 757 formation over the city.
And the Boeing also fles low over the airport - before landing with the team.
30 - 40 thousand people where downtown and celebrated the team whne the eventually came downtown.
But the jet flew pretty low over the airport as you can see on my video.
You can here bystanders shout in disbelief as the JEt flew low over the airport in Reykjavik

Iceland fight the French for the Gold at the Olympics
Yesterday - Iceland beat Spain ,36:30 in the Handball at the Olympics. And on Sunday - they will compete for the gold - against France.
The game will start at 7:45 in the morning Local time here in Iceland. And the country is going ballistic. President of Iceland is in Beijing , supporting our guys. They have already got a medal - silver or gold. And they will be going for the GOLD: Iceland ( population 300.000 ) against France ( population 60 million ) will be at 7:45 GMT on sunday. Iceland is going ballistic - everybody is watching . The President of ICeland is in Bejing - watching the national team. Iceland has one three medals in the Olympics - that is total . One in 1956 ( triple jump ) 1984 ( judo ) and 2000 ( pole voult ).
