Great summer weather

Hi all -- The weather is great here - and that means something here in Iceland. Usually the weather changes every day - but now there has been sun and warm ( over ten on the celcius ) so ,we dont have to go to Spain for the sun. And here a few photos and i hope you like them

The longest day

Hi all-- Hope you are all having a great weekend. And toady is the longest day here in Iceland. The weather is great for it. Saw a boat being parralelled parked last night. It is great to walk around with the little camera thingie ,and take photos . Hope you like the photos.

Vikings in Iceland

Big international Viking festival in Iceland.
In Hafnarfjordur ( just south of Reykjavik ) 200 vikings in full gear,are having a big festival.
Great fun ,and all in full battle gear - swords and all that.

Great day - or what ?

Great day - weatherwise - but gas keeps going up - The gallon is getting close to ten dollars. People are shocked ,and this affect the holiday season a lot. But i took a few photos today and i hope you like them.

Summer in Iceland

Summer has arrived in Iceland.
And that means - rain !
Well ,it is still a little warmer,around 10 to 15 degrees on the celcius - and that is hot to us in Iceland.
Hope that you are all well .
Now Europe goes bonkers for a few weeks -- the Europian football competition is now on.

Festivals in Iceland

Hi all. Today is the day we celebrate the men and women who work on Boats ships and anything that floats. Every sailor is now ashore . Because we are a island and our main domestic product ,is the fish we produce. We have been to war ,becuase of the fishing rights . And we did beat the British Empire,in ,what was called the - Cod War. They sent big war ships ,against our few and small ships. Shots where fired,bust mostly the British rammed our ships. These wars where from the 1950s to the 1970s. But in the end ,the British Empire was defeated.
