Indefence.is group ,is now giving the President of Iceland ,petition,asking him not to sign the Icesave law,
56.089 Icelanders have signed the petition.
That would make , 25 % of the Icelandic population.
600 hundred are now at the Presidents house, delivering the petition to the President.

ReplyDeleteOn 7 October 2008, following continued deterioration in financial markets, the Financial Supervisory Authority of Iceland (FME) availed itself of authorisation granted under Article 100 of Act No. 161/2002, as amended, to take control of Landsbanki Íslands hf. (Old Landsbanki). Landsbankinn (legal name NBI hf.) was subsequently created and Old Landsbanki’s domestic deposits, as well as a significant part of the old bank’s assets from its Icelandic operations, transferred to it.
